This eco-friendly Greenline version of the Fabia Estate is heading for the UK.
It has a three-cylinder 1.4-litre TDI diesel and hi-tech exhaust recirculation system, while power-sapping luxuries such as air-con and electric windows are dropped. It can do 70mpg and emits only 110g/km of CO2. The car is expected to arrive in the UK next year.

Czech carmaker Skoda has announced the launch of a new sport package for its new Fabia II supermini. Named “Dynamic”, the new sport kit adds a front spoiler, a chromed exhaust tip, a roof spoiler, tinted rear windows and a diffuser like rear bumper add-on along with standard air-condition all for the price of 990 Euros or about $1,500 in Germany.

While we would have preferred it if the Fabia pictured above was an RS version fitted with the VW Group’s 2.0 TFSI petrol unit (the one found in the Golf GTi, TT-S etc), this is the first prototype of the Fabia Super 2000 Rally car that will compete in the Super 2000 category. The race-prepped Skoda is based on the second-generation Fabia and, in compliance with the FIA regulations, is equipped with a two-litre atmospheric four-cylinder petrol engine, a six-speed sequential transmission and a four-wheel drive system with three mechanical differentials
It may be dark, but how’s this for a Fab night out? Skoda’s all-new Fabia has made its first public outing - and our undercover spies were there to capture the moment on film.They snapped the top-selling five-door virtually undisguised on the road, and it’s clear the next Fabia will continue Skoda’s trend for stylish new models.
The nose will be virtually identical to the larger Roomster supermini-MPV and inspired by the Joyster concept. And the rear end’s distinctive appearance is revealed here for the first time. The upswept waistline at the C-pillar creates a chunky, high-quality appearance, while the tail-lights resemble those of the existing car. But sharper lines make the Fabia look more modern, ready to take on Renault’s latest Clio and Vauxhall’s top-quality Corsa.
These are the first official images showing off all angles of the Czech wagon, which is due to make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
And it’s got a lot to live up to, as the previous Fabia Estate proved very popular with buyers – 630,000 were sold worldwide. It also has to face tough competition from the Peugeot 207 SW and forthcoming Renault Clio Sport Tourer.
Apparently this isn’t a typical road-going Skoda; it’s a unique rally car created by Czech spark-plug manufacture Brisk in collaboration with Prodrive. Albeit Brisk’s spec-sheet is available only in Czech, it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to make ends meet. Based on a first generation Fabia, the RS 01 WRC gets a coupe body that actually doesn’t look half-bad and a supped-up 2.0TFSI engine -yes, the same as in the VW Golf GTI and Audi S3 models among others, producing 500Hp @ 7.800 rpm and 600Nm @ 3.700 rpm. Combine that with a weight of just 1.000kg or 2.200 pounds and the 2.7 sec time for the 0 to 100km/h (62mph) that Brisk announces makes (some) sense.
